We have not seen home since September. I am craving a self home cooked meal. Unfortunately that will not happen this visit.
Its a crying shame that we visit our home. Not really. We actually like having the ability to visit any chance we can. Sometime we characterize these visits as ” JUST PASSING THRU”. Because we sometime have a load that picks up in California and delivers in Florida. Our job keeps us rolling.
This profession that we have chosen requires that we keep it moving. The more time we spend at home the fewer gifts my grandchildren AND God kids get for Christmas ,Birthdays and Good Grades. So, recently I had to take an unexpected trip home and got to see, almost, all my kids.
Giving The Best Out Of What We Have.
I got to see my house , and its amazing how much you can miss an item so much. Being able to sleep in a bed that is stable (no being carried on 18 wheels, LOL), it is a wonderful transition. Being able to have playful, stable moments with my family. Getting out of the box(THE TRUCK) my life was been in the last 8 years is going to be a joy and a blessing. I cant wait.
Don’t let those words allow you to think I don’t love my job. I do love what I do. If not for my job I may not have been able to travel to 48 Countries in the United States of America and being able to view the amazing sites that I have SEEN . And being able to present them to you is delightful. Being able to take photos has been the greatest part of my working travels. Photography was allowed me to get out of the truck and take break. Create memories. Changing the monotony of driving for hours. Enjoy the scenery that surrounds me. There are so many people that have crossed my path in this journey that have helped me increase my quality of life, Thank you. Some great and some not so great but all excepted and appreciated.
So when we are home we dive into what ever is going on in LIFE at that moment or on that DAY. Gods purpose and plan is what I have to remember when we get home because there lives keep me busy, and I love it. I wouldn’t change one moment.
Two of my daughters and two of my grandboys live at Home know. My grand boys use to live 1500 miles away from me so I missed their infant and baby days. I have been more present for the “Terrible 2’s” though. So being able to visit home, allows us to see them more often, it a true blessing for me.
In that same time frame we where able to” Pass Thru” for home time in Louisiana. I DO LOVE MY LIFE
