Today Is a day that the Lord has made, lets us be thankful and rejoice in it.

WOW, it was a heck of a day yesterday. And I enjoyed every moment of it.

It has been a long 2 weeks of packing- moving , unpacking-moving and moving some more, and Im still standing.

When we desided it was time to come off the road as long hall truckers , I didn’t imagen it would be this tiring to be home. We have accumulated so much extra stuff in 8 years on the road. We had 4 years of belongins in the truck we currently had alone, to practicly move back into our house, plus all the times we just pass by home and just drop off stuff out of the truck that we picked up in our working travels. We had a lost for work to do just cleaning up and reorganizing our house. Then Two of my daughters and 2 grandsons moved out into there own house and my middle girl moved home with my granddaughter from colledge station. She graduated from Texas A&M 2 years ago and she has been waiting for use to come home off the road so that she could move home and have some help raising her daughter. She really didnt want to move home but I was not driving to College Station everyday. I love, love being a grandmother.

Any way, last night was a good long pleasant evening. I got so drunk that I couldn’t make it up the stairs without waking up my husband. After 2 weeks of moving, cleaning and organizing, Im still not done, but my girls and 2 of my cousins came to the house with a huge bottle of Hennessy. We drank like fish and laughed so mush and so hard. I didn’t realize my kids where comedians.

With all the ease of the conversation I was able to open up to them about my fear of leaving the house for everyday simple errands. We decided that I should cut back on watching the news so much. It was around August when I began watching CNN every night. I had no idea of the mass shootings that were taking place around the United States because we just weren’t paying attention to the things that where going on the world. When we stopped our truck, outside of work related duties, it would be to bath, eat, get some exercise and wash clothes. And of course that Photos. So once I learned about the tragedies that where happening I dove straight in. I was listening to CNN when the, BREAKING NEW of the shooting happened in El Paso. I was and still am so hurt for all the family’s that were impacted that Saturday morning. I could not stop watching and listening to the broadcast. Then when I woke up Sunday morning and turned on CNN and another shooting had happened in Ohio I was devastated. I remember watching Fareed broadcasting the night before about The Turner Diaries, and thought this is madness. I really didn’t believe the context of the show. And to wake up the next morning and another shooting had accrued. That was a hard driving day for me. That was when I decided it was time to come off the road and get home to my family.

We have covered 48 states 100 times and I never connected the hatred and meanness that I was fiscally seeing from people to the disasters that where also taking places in states we had just driven thru. And Lord when I put two and two together I was constantly afraid of the people and places that I was not familiar with. I began to keep my head down but my ears and eyes where on high alert.

I’m so thankful for my family and all the support they have given me while on the road and now back at home they still know how to comfort me, call me out and make me laugh. I actually got out of the house today and didn’t let the craziness of the last 9 months stop me from exchanging a smile with a stranger. Yes today was a good day. I went and got a pedicure , yes, it has been 4 months since anybody touched my feet, and woo wee they where bad. Yes, today was a Damn Good Day.

I’m watching the local news in the morning with my coffee for one hour instead of CNN ALL DAY. I WILL only watch CNN between 8pm -11pm now because I love watching and listening to Erin, Andy, Chris, Don,,,,,,, But I have promised to only watch 3 maybe 4 nights a week. Those 4 are my favorite JOURNALIST and Don Lemon is really funny to me. I think he needs to take a break from the politics as well for a minute, there have been some night I’ve been watching him and I would think to myself that our President is gone to cause Don to have a heart attack. lol , ‘ the pot calling the kettle.’ ha ha ha

Can you help me with sharing a funny story of your onw?

Stay Positive… Stay focused… Stay Prayerful…
